Although the dynamic relationship between Law & Order SVU‘s Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Law & Order: Organized Crime star Elliot Stabler (Chris Meloni) can’t be beaten, Olivia and Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) might just come in at a close second. But soon, fans will sadly have to say goodbye to the Olivia-Rollins duo.

“Unlike other crossovers, this is structured and produced [on an epic scale]” Law & Order showrunner Rick Eid tells TVLine. “It’s not a handoff from one show to the next. It’s really one story that involves all the characters from the different shows.”

Along with Chris Meloni as Elliot Stabler, the cast of Organized Crime’s third season also welcomes back Danielle Moné Truitt as Sergeant Ayanna Bell, Ainsley Seiger as Detective Jet Slootmakers. Two new actors joining the team in Season 3 are Rick Gonzalez (Arrow) and Brent Antonello (Dynasty).

Paul Sorvino, ‘Goodfellas’ and ‘Law & Order’ star, dies at 83

Posted on August 4, 2022August 4, 2022 by Judith E. Ashton

Actor Paul Sorvino, known for streetwise tough guy roles in “Goodfellas“and”Law & Order,” died of natural causes Monday morning. He was 83.

Sorvino’s wife, the Emmy-winning actor Dee Dee Sorvino, was by his side, according to Sorvino’s publicist, Roger Neal.

“Our hearts are broken, there will never be another Paul Sorvino, he was the love of my life, and one of the greatest performers to ever grace the screen and stage,” Dee Dee Sorvino said in a statement released by Neal.

Sorvino, who was born in Brooklyn, New York, enjoyed more than five decades of work across film, television and the Broadway stage, portraying a variety of compelling and dramatic characters.

He may be best known for his work in Martin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas,” in which he played mobster Paul Cicero. He told AP Radio in 2004 that he was proud of his work in the 1990 film.

“But it’s only one small section of what I am and it’s completely antithetical to my personality,” Sorvino said. “It’s nothing like me as a human being.”

He is perhaps equally as well known for his stint from 1991 to 1992 on “Law & Order.” Although he was on the show for only one season, his 31 episodes as Sgt. Frank Cerreta forever affiliated him with the venerable television franchise.

Sorvino, an alumnus of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, made his Broadway debut in the 1964 musical “Bajour.” He later starred in shows such as “Skyscraper” and “An American Millionaire,” according to sorvino-vault-0000019568″ data-ylk=”slk:Playbill” class=”link “Playbill.

Throughout his film career, Sorvino delivered dramatic performances playing real people. In Warren Beatty’s “Reds,” he played Italian American communist Louis Fraina. In Oliver Stone’s “Nixon,” he played

‘Law & Order’ Star Christopher Meloni’s Peloton Workout Video Barely Funny

Posted on July 19, 2022July 19, 2022 by Judith E. Ashton

christopher-meloni/” data-ylk=”slk:Christopher Meloni” class=”link “Christopher Meloni of TV’s Law & Order: Organized Crime believes the cover-up is often worse than the crime. So it’s not surprising that he’s transposed that philosophy to his workout wear.

In another classic Platoon video making the rounds, Meloni is seen working out in the nude, with a strategic blur box covering his naughty bits. The caption to the video: “We love all our Members…even those who observe interesting holidays #NationalNudeDay.”

More from Deadline

“Apparently, some people think the way I work out is strange,” says a huffing Meloni. “Honestly I don’t get it. Me, I don’t think using the Peloton app is strange at all.”

Meloni goes on to reveal that he uses it for yoga, cardio, meditation, and strength training. “I even use the app for running,” he confesses. “Now, does that seem strange to you?”

The kicker is the solemn voiceover to end the video, which borrows its style from Steve Zirnkilton’s Law & Order mission statement on the criminal justice system that precedes every episode.

“In the Peloton community, users are represented by two separate, yet equally motivated groups: those who wear pants, and Christopher Meloni.”

Law & Order’s Christopher Meloni Goes Nude for Must-See Peloton Ad

Posted on July 18, 2022July 18, 2022 by Judith E. Ashton

There’s no law that says you can’t work out naked, according to Christopher Meloni at least.

As the camera zooms out, Meloni is revealed to be naked—with his private areas pixelated, of course. He then jokingly adds, “Me, I don’t think using the Peloton app is strange at all.”

The actor goes on to show all the ways he uses the Peloton app from meditating to yoga to kickboxing, he does a bit of everything—all while still in the buff.

“Sure, they’re famous for their amazing equipment,” Meloni says of the company. “But the app gets me motivated to do lots of different workouts.”

At one point in the commercial, a nude Meloni is seen running in a park and passes a dog who barks at him. A translation of the pup’s message hilariously reads in the subtitles: “Wow! He really does have a great app!”

“In the Peloton community, users are represented by two separate, yet equally motivated groups,” a narrator says at the end of the commercial, referencing Law & Order’s iconic intro. “Those who wear pants, and Christopher Meloni.”

For Meloni, it seems like the ad rings true on how he likes to work out at home.
